 3/4 c Sugar

1/4 c Margarine

1 Egg

1/2 c Milk

1 1/2 c Flour

2 ts Baking powder

1/2 ts Salt

STREUSEL:

1/2 c Brown sugar packed

2 T Flour

2 ts Cinnamon

2 T Melted margarine

1/2 c Chopped nuts

Pan dress (or grease and flour) 9x9 pan. Preheat oven to 350-375.


Mix sugar, shortening and egg thoroughly. Mix in milk. Add dry ingredients, mix well. Spread half batter in pan. Spread half of streusel, then rest of batter, top with rest of streusel. Bake 25-35 minutes, or until toothpick stuck in middle comes out clean.


Serve warm. Good served hot with milk.
